the office of the Governor

The LAWC is comprised of volunteers that are dedicated to ensuring the humane treatment and well-being of animals. Our mission is to promote kindness and prevent cruelty to animals by assisting and supporting animal control enforcement, aiding law enforcement in prosecuting animal cruetly cases, recovery of lost animals, addressing pet overpopulation, performing impoundment inspections and providing public records pertaining to the animals within the purview of the commision.
